Hello

Dear reader,

I hope you are well.

We welcome Rosii to the community. There are four people from Brazil here, and all live in very different parts of the country. Rosii lives in Sao Paolo. She is an English teacher working in a state school.

There are moments when I realise the Brida Project is perfect for helping people improve their English.

One of those moments was yesterday morning when at 7 am, Cléa and Maxime met for the first time and spoke English with each other. The funny thing is that although they both lived within a few kilometres of each other, their physical paths never crossed. Today, Maxime lives 700 km away from his village and Cléa, as we know, in Seoul. Brida brought them together. And yesterday morning, Maxime and Cléa met in the Brida Café and talked with each other. They compared notes on university/school life and then Maxime talked about his 3D printer usage, and Cléa described her trip to Gangwha.

Martin in Kassel brings another curiosity into our discussions. Professionally, he is at the forefront of technology, working deep in train systems, ensuring that passengers safely reach their destinations. Privately, he turns his back on many such "modern" things and asks about old versus new. Is new always better, or was old really that good? It's a simple question. I hope the answers will rumble on for a while.

Last but not least, if you look for Brida Podcasts, you can listen to conversations I have with community members. There are several benefits; there is an increased focus on speaking and pronunciation. There is also the ability to listen to different accents.
It's been another intense week here in Brida. I wish you a pleasant week ahead.

Best regards

Frank
