Terms and Conditions – Brida Tables

These Terms and Conditions are provided in English, which is the working
language of Brida Tables.
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made for Brida Tables via
the website brida.eu.
By reserving and paying for a seat at a Brida Table, you confirm that you
have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
2. Nature of the Service
Brida Tables are hosted, time-bound conversation tables
held online at a fixed date and time.
Payment grants access to:
- one seat
- at a specific table
- at a fixed time
Brida Tables are not courses, English lessons, training
sessions, coaching, consulting, or networking events.
No outcomes, improvements, or results are promised.
3. Booking and Payment
- All bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
- A seat is confirmed only once payment has been successfully completed.
- Payments are processed via PayPal.
- No reservations are held without payment.
4. Cancellation by the Participant
4.1 Cancellation Deadline
You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the
scheduled start time of the table.
4.2 Refund Policy

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the table
start time are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the table
start time are not refundable.
This policy reflects the limited number of seats and the fixed hosting
commitment.
5. Cancellation or Modification by Brida
Brida reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a table in exceptional
circumstances (for example, host unavailability or technical failure).
In such cases, participants will be offered either:
- a full refund, or
- the option to transfer their booking to another available table.
No additional compensation is provided beyond the refund of the booking
price.
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Law)
In accordance with EU consumer protection law, the statutory 14-day right
of withdrawal does not apply to Brida Tables, as they are
services provided on a specific date and time.
By completing a booking, you expressly agree to this exception.
7. Participation, Conduct, and Nature of the Tables
Brida Tables are hosted conversations, not English
lessons, language training, coaching, or networking events.
English is used as the shared working language because
participants do not share the same native language.
Any improvement in comfort, fluency, or confidence in English is a
by-product, not the purpose, of participation.
7.1 Conversational Contract
By joining a Brida Table, participants acknowledge and agree that:
- the table is a conversation, not a class
- there is no teaching, correction, or instruction
- there are no promised outcomes
- participation is voluntary and non-performative
7.2 Prohibited Behaviour
The following are not permitted at Brida Tables:
- pitching products, services, or ideas
- sales behaviour or self-promotion
- networking agendas
- recruitment or lead generation
- soliciting contact details from other participants
Brida Tables are not designed to facilitate professional networking or
commercial exchange.
7.3 Privacy and Contact Between Participants
Participants’ contact details are not shared.
Any exchange of contact information between participants, if it occurs,
is entirely voluntary and outside the responsibility of Brida.
7.4 Host Authority
Brida Tables are hosted. The host is responsible for holding:
- the conversational frame
- time boundaries
- tone and safety of the table
The host reserves the right to:
- redirect behaviour that conflicts with the conversational contract
- refuse participation
- remove a participant from a session
This may occur without refund in cases of disruptive,
inappropriate, disrespectful, or non-compliant behaviour.
7.5 Condition of Participation
Participation in a Brida Table is conditional upon respecting the
conversational nature of the table, the authority of the host, and the
rules set out in these Terms and Conditions.
8. Limitation of Liability
Brida is not liable for:
- individual participant experiences or expectations
- technical issues outside its reasonable control
- indirect or consequential losses
Participation is voluntary and at the participant’s own discretion.
9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, French courts shall have jurisdiction, subject
to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
