What Brida collects, why it is needed, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it.
Data controller
The controller for data collected through these Brida forms is Frank Peters, trading as Brida, at 3 rue des Vignes, 67160 Cleebourg, France. Privacy contact: frank@peters-langues.fr.
What we collect
- Brida Table membership interest: name, email, country of residence, optional city/region and working-world information, English-comfort answer, usual availability, optional note and the page from which the request was sent.
- Pineapple Table interest: name, email, selected question or Table, optional organisation/role, optional note and the page from which the request was sent.
- Cancellation or withdrawal request: name, email, the type of request and any optional reference or note you provide.
- Table participation: practical participant information needed to organise a Table. If meeting notes or a transcript are used for a particular Table, participants must be informed in advance. A Table is not automatically publication material.
Why we use it

Who can receive the data
Access is limited to Brida and people who need the information to organise or administer the relevant Table. Technical service providers may process data on Brida's behalf where necessary for hosting, email delivery, video-conferencing, invoicing or payment. Those providers must be appropriately contracted and given only the data needed for their role.
International access
Brida Tables can include hosts and participants outside the European Economic Area. The form database itself is not made public. Where administrative personal data needs to be made accessible outside the EEA, Brida must use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and limit the data shared to what is necessary.
How long we keep it
Non-active inbound form records are kept for no longer than 24 months after the last update and are then deleted automatically by this plugin. Records needed for an active membership, a legal obligation, accounting or an unresolved dispute may need to be kept longer under the applicable retention rule. Publication material, where separately agreed, follows The Pineapple's editorial records rather than this inbound-form retention period.
Your rights
Depending on the legal basis and circumstances, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise a right, write to frank@peters-langues.fr. Brida may ask for proportionate information to verify identity where reasonably necessary.
You can also complain to the French supervisory authority, the CNIL: cnil.fr.
No sale of personal data
Brida does not sell the personal information submitted through these forms. A Table enquiry is not automatically turned into a marketing subscription.
WordPress privacy tools
This plugin registers its form records with WordPress's personal-data export and erasure tools, so Brida can respond more reliably to data-rights requests by email address.
